World Wine 2005 Takler Rose Cuvee

Szekszard, Hungary Takler Rosé Cuvée is the ultimate summer wine, perfect for both red wine lovers and white wine lovers. Crisp, dry and provocative, this luscious rosé is 65% Kékfrankos (Blaufrankisch), 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Kadarka, handcrafted by Ferenc Takler, Hungary s "Winemaker of the Year 2004." Grapes for this new release came from Takler s Grand Cru vineyards and a virgin Kekfrankos property in the Szekszard region of Hungary. Takler Rosé Cuvée is salmon pink in color with bright acidity, light-medium body and rich flavors of cherry, vanilla, raspberries and strawberries. Well balanced with good structure, this rosé has a long finish that is clean and refreshing on the palate. Takler Rosé Cuvée is a food-friendly wine that pairs well with roast duck, grilled chicken, seafood salad, grilled vegetables, and mild cheeses.
