In the 16th century a branch of the family moved from Chateau Montresor, in the Loire valley, to the Veneto of Italy, where they acquired property and planted vineyards. Mild climate influenced by the neighboring Lake of Garda, gravelly soils of glacial origin and advanced technology in both vineyards and cellars allow Montresor wines to fully express their varietal character with elegance, food-friendliness and balance. Rocca Bianca Pinot Grigio is light in body, with crisp acidity and a nose of lemons, green apples and almonds. With no oak, the wine shows the best of the Pinot Grigio varietal flavors.
