World Wine 2004 Terrazzo Bianco

Marches, Italy Terrazzo Bianco is a pleasant white blend of 80% Verdicchio and 20% Trebbiano. It comes from the Esino appellation in the Italian province of Marches, which borders Tuscany, Umbria, Abruzzo and the Adriatic. Enjoy as a refreshing summertime apéritif. Terrazzo Bianco is soft amber in color with a nose of peach, sweet citrus, hazelnut, floral and mineral notes. It is light-medium in body with no tannins or oak, bright acidity and delicate flavors of peach, orange, melon, and hazelnut. Well balanced to enjoy over the next 3-4 years, it is an excellent food wine, clean and refreshing on the finish. Enjoy Terrazzo Bianco as an apéritif with ceviche or sautéed shrimp and with grilled chicken, pesto pasta and cheeses.
