World Wine 2004 Millbrook Cabernet Franc

New York John S. Dyson, proprietor of Millbrook Vineyards & Winery (the man who coined the phrase "I Love New York"), and winemaker John Graziano offer you an excellent example of the best of New York State wines in this beautiful Cabernet Franc. A blend of 3 red Bordeaux grapes--76% Cabernet Franc, 19% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, much of the fruit comes from Millbrook s vineyards in New York s Hudson River Region. Garnet red, soft and dry, with a nose of blueberry, cedar, cassis and spice, this is a wine made to be enjoyed with food. Medium/full in body with light tannins, it offers flavors of cassis, blackberries, vanilla and spice. Aged 12 months in French and American oak, it is nicely balanced with a long, smooth finish. Enjoy Millbrook Cabernet Franc with roast rack of lamb, bacon-wrapped quail, and rich vegetable dishes.
