The Italian grape varietal Cortese is at its best in the Gavi del Comune di Gavi region of Piedmont, on the steep slopes of the Ligurian Appenines. This wine is 100% Cortese. Malgra Poggio Basco Gavi is soft yellow-gold in color with a nose of lemons, almonds, earth and mineral notes. Dry, medium-full in body with bright acidity and no tannins, this refreshing white wine serves up flavors of citrus, pears, almonds and mineral notes. This wine had stainless steel fermentation with no oak. It is beautifully balanced with a crisp, clean finish.
