Russian River Valley, California JT Cellars Merlot Merlot is a brand new release from the prestigious Russian River Valley of Sonoma. Our Tasting Panel deemed this serious Merlot worthy of at least twice this price. Only 698 cases produced in this vintage. JT Cellars Merlot is dark ruby red with a nose of plums, cherries, blackberries, earth, and tobacco. Medium-full in body with moderate acidity and supple tannins, the wine offers rich flavors of cassis, plum, raspberry, blackberry, and oak. Well balanced to enjoy now, it will drink well for 6-7 years. It is smooth, rich and polished on the finish. Enjoy JT Cellars Merlot with grilled flank steak, roasted lamb chops, pasta, and cheeses.
