Sonoma County, California JT Cellars Chardonnay is a hot new label we recently discovered, crafted by one of California’s most talented boutique winemakers. Since great wine starts with great fruit, JT Cellars uses only extraordinary vineyard sources for all JT wines. This new 2004 release is sourced from the prestigious Sonoma County appellation. Very limited production--under 1000 cases. JT Cellars Chardonnay is yellow-gold in color, dry, crisp and smooth, with an appealing nose of citrus, pear, apple, nectarine, vanilla, and floral notes. Medium-full in body, this wine offers surprising complexity and rich flavors of pear, apple, peach, citrus, almond, and vanilla, with a judicious touch of oak. Long and rich on the finish, it is well balanced to enjoy now and over the next 5-6 years. We suggest JT Cellars Chardonnay as an excellent aperitif wine. It pairs beautifully with poached salmon, grilled shrimp, roast chicken, and grilled vegetables.
