World Wine 2004 Bokisch Albarino
Here is your chance to buy
at a clearance price authentic designer '2004 Bokisch Albarino': Lodi, California Bokisch Albarino is one of our most surprising discoveries of the year, finding a superb Spanish white varietal in the Lodi region of California. Markus Bokisch began his winemaking career at Joseph Phelps and now grows his native Spanish varietals at his Las Cerezas Vineyard in Lodi. Robert Parker rated the 2003 vintage of this wine 89 points, saying, "It is hard to believe how good this wine is." We totally agree, and like the new 2004 release even better! Bokisch Albarino is straw yellow in color with a perfumed nose of orange, apricot, citrus blossom and honeysuckle. The wine is medium-full bodied with bright acidity and flavors of white peaches, apricots, oranges, pears and citrus. It was partly fermented in neutral oak barrels to add richness. The wine is well balanced to enjoy over the next 3-4 years. The finish is creamy and rich. Enjoy Bokisch Albarino with poached salmon, baked swordfish, grilled shrimp, roast chicken, paella and tapas.
