World Wine 2003 Vall Llach Priorat

Limited to 1 case max per client please. Not available in Florida. Priorat, Spain Vall Llach is an undiscovered gem from the Priorat region of Spain. The vineyard is owned by popular Spanish singer Louis Llach, who is also a great wine lover. His high-altitude vineyards with 80-year-old vines produce one of the best wines we ve ever tasted. This one is a blend of 50% old-vines Carignane, 35% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine Spectator scored the 2003 with a knockout 94 points! Steven Tanzer 93 points. Andres Proensa scored 94 points. Now that is consistent. This is a serious wine for collectors. Vall Llach Priorat is deep purple in color with a beautiful nose of black cherry, black raspberry and spices. It is full-bodied with awesome complexity and concentration of fruit--black cherries, black raspberries, vanilla and oak. Aged 12-14 months in French oak. The wine is beautifully balanced, but has the tannin structure to cellar for 2 decades. It is long and silky on the finish. Enjoy Vall
