Calatayud, Spain Sipranillo comes from Calatayud in north-central Spain, where a unique micro-climate produces remarkable Tempranillo. The "Seleccion Especial" is a cuvée made from older vines. Sipranillo Seleccion Especial is deep ruby red in color with an aroma of black raspberry, cherry, cassis, vanilla and floral notes. This Spanish red of 100% Tempranillo grape is medium-full in body with crisp acidity, firm tannins and rich flavors of black cherries, black raspberries, cassis, spice and smoky oak. It is fruit-forward with older-vines richness and beautifully balanced, with the structure to cellar 6-7 years. The wine is long, smooth and rich on the finish.
