Szekszard, Hungary Monarchia Takler Noir Gold Kekfrankos is a wonderful red wine from Takler Pince, the most dynamic family-owned winery in Szekszard. Father Ferenc and his two sons, Andras and Ferenc, Jr., all work in the cellar. Takler is "Winemaker of the Year 2004" in Hungary, as voted by the Hungarian Wine Academy. This dry red wine, a Monarchia Gold Selection, is made from the Kekfrankos (Blaufrankisch) grape, using very limited yields. Their 2000 Kekfrankos was rated the #1 wine in Hungary. The new 2003 release heralds one of the best vintages ever in Hungary. Don t miss it!
