World Wine 2002 Starry Night Adara

California Starry Night Winery is a rising star in California focused on Zinfandel and Rhone varietals. Named after a star in Canis Major, Adara is a red Rhone blend of Carignane, Grenache and Syrah that takes you on a beautiful ride directly to Provence! Only 440 cases produced. Starry Night Adara is deep ruby red in color with an aromatic nose of wild blueberries, strawberries, lavender and sage. Medium in body with moderate acidity and soft tannins, the wine offers extracted ripe fruit and gorgeous texture with rich flavors of blueberries, plums, vanilla, pepper and spice. Aged in French and American oak barrels for added complexity. The finish is long and perfumed. Enjoy Starry Night Adara over the next 5-6 years with veal chops, roast chicken, pork, pasta, ratatouille, and cheeses.
